Changing The Game teaser

Changing the Game - Coming to theaters in 2011

“Changing the Game” is a searing universal drama from Philly filmmaker Rel Dowdell that chronicles the life of a young African-American, who spends his childhood on the mean streets of North Philadelphia. Raised by his grandmother, he ends up going to an Ivy League school, shines bright and ends up landing the American dream job on Wall Street. His life takes the most serious of turns when he realizes that Wall Street is a lot like growing up on the mean streets of North Philadelphia.

Interview with film director Rel Dowdell

The Actors Lounge interviews film director Rel Dowdell
The last I wrote about Rel Dowdell (on my now defunct website, video2edit.com), he was promoting his new film, "Train Ride." This time around he is working on his next film, "Changing The Game," and it should hit the theaters some time next year. Written and directed by Dowdell, the story is about how our antagonist, Darrell Barnes, finds out that life on the streets and life in the corporate world are very similar, and all too familiar, when his career and his life are threatened by a corporate scandal.

Changing The Game has an all-star ensemble cast that includes:

Tony Todd- Curtis the Diabolical
Irma P. Hall- Grandma Barnes
Angel Lola Luv- Reba Jones
Kirk “Sticky Fingaz” Jones- “Craig Jenkins”
Ronny Cox- Segar Thuns
Charles Napier- Commissioner Gordon
Gano Grills- Obul Metha
Suzzanne Douglas- Mrs. Lewis, Kindergarten School Teacher

Check out this in-depth interview of Rel Dowdel on Tony Langford's The Actor's Lounge.
